How does Aquagold work?
Depending on a patient’s concerns and desired results, we are able to fully customize the solution to be applied with the microchannel device. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is the primary ingredient in the treatment. It offers the following benefits:

AquaGold can deliver a customized blend of ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins, peptides, and other provider-selected solutions. Depending on your goals, a neuromodulator may also be included.
Hydration and radiance may be noticeable within the first few days, with improvements in texture and overall skin quality becoming more apparent over the following 1–2 weeks.
No. When a neuromodulator is used, it is delivered very superficially and in small amounts to target skin quality rather than deeper facial muscles, so normal facial expression is maintained.
Yes. Because downtime is usually minimal, AquaGold can be a good pre-event treatment for improving hydration, radiance, and overall skin appearance.
AquaGold has needles but it targets a different layer than regular microneedling. It uses hollow microchannels to deliver ingredients directly into the superficial skin to give an instant result, while conventional microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries to trigger a repair response and collagen production. AquaGold may be a better choice if you want minimal downtime and a quick boost in hydration, glow, and radiance, making it especially suitable before a special event. Microneedling is generally more suitable when the main goals are collagen remodeling, acne scars, texture, or pores.
Aquagold is best used for patients who are looking for a softer, more youthful appearance, but do not require dramatic changes. Microchanneling treats the superficial layers of the skin to provide a moderate, though noticeable, improvement in skin texture, reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, and increase in collagen production.
