Although both are effective noninvasive body-contouring solutions, BodyFX and CoolSculpting use very different technologies: BodyFX uses radiofrequency to melt fat cells, while CoolSculpting induces cell death via freezing. Both treatments kill fat cells, but only BodyFX also boosts collagen production, tightens skin, and reduces the appearance of cellulite.
For CoolSculpting, providers might recommend two hour long sessions, depending on the area being treated; BodyFX often requires six to eight 30-minute treatments.
CoolSculpting results in, on average, a 25% loss of fat in the treated area over four to six months, while BodyFX produces a 39.6% reduction, on average, after three months.
