Before anything is removed, the lesion is examined by a physician. Most moles and skin tags are harmless, but assessment matters: anything suspicious is referred appropriately rather than treated cosmetically.

We will not remove a pigmented lesion for cosmetic reasons without that assessment.

Benign skin tags, seborrhoeic lesions and raised moles can usually be removed in a single short visit under local anaesthetic, using fine electrosurgery or laser depending on the lesion and its location.

A small scab forms and settles over one to two weeks. Aftercare is simple and will be explained to you. Sun protection over the treated area matters while it heals.
