What it is
Radiesse is an injectable made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in a gel carrier, from Merz. It works on two timescales: the gel gives structure immediately, and the CaHA stimulates new collagen and elastin over the following months.
Studies of diluted and hyperdiluted Radiesse describe increased fibroblast activity and new collagen and elastin formation, improving firmness and skin quality rather than only volume.
Where we use it
Jawline and chin definition, cheeks, nasolabial folds, and the backs of the hands. It is a firmer product than hyaluronic acid filler, so it suits areas that want support and structure.
In hyperdiluted form it is used across larger areas such as the neck and decolletage, where the goal is skin quality and firmness rather than contour.

Your timeline
There is a visible effect straight away from the gel itself. The collagen-driven part builds over the following months, and results commonly last in the region of twelve to eighteen months, varying between patients.
Good to know
Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Radiesse is not dissolvable, so placement matters. It is injected by our physicians and nurse injectors after assessment.
