Why thread lift?

Thread lift procedure is a minimally invasive alternative to facelift surgery. Thread lifts claim to tighten your skin by inserting medical-grade thread material into your face and then “pulling” your skin up by tightening the thread.

Thread Lift is offered in our Markham, Toronto, and North York location.

how does thread lift work?

Here’s a step-by-step guide outlining exactly what happens during a thread lift procedure:

  • Your practitioner identifies the areas of sagging skin and marks out where each thread will be placed.
  • Local anaesthetic is applied to the treatment areas to make it a comfortable, pain-free experience.
  • The threads are shaped and moulded into place before being pulled back and tightened. The cone-like structures latch onto skin tissue and re-suspend sagging areas.
  • The threads are then trimmed to ensure they’re secure and invisible inside the skin.

A thread lift procedure usually takes between 30 and 45 mins. There’s little to no downtime, meaning you can return to work and your daily activities right away. There are also minimal side effects involved, aside from mild tenderness, swelling and bruising which should subside after a day or two.

Who is Thread lift suitable for?

The typical candidate for a thread lift is in their late 30s to early 50s. A person who is generally in good health and is just starting to notice the signs of aging may benefit the most from the subtle impact of a thread lift.

Those who can’t have a surgical facelift because of medical conditions that make general anesthesia risky may consider a thread lift as a safer alternative.
