Following an O-Shot procedure there is no downtime for the patient. All normal activities, including sex, can be resumed the same day. Patients may feel a sense of fullness within the vagina which will subside over 1-3 days. While the vagina is swollen, the urine stream may spray, which will resolve once the swelling is gone. Minor bleeding may occur for 1-2 days.
The ideal candidates for the O-Shot are women who experience difficulty achieving sexual climax and/or have urinary incontinence.
O-Shot is not recommended for patients who are seeking to treat pyschosexual dysfunctions such as inability to achieve orgasm or low sex drive.
Side effects of the O-Shot can include bleeding, constant awareness of injection sites, a sensation of always being sexually aroused, constant vaginal wetness, hematoma or bruising, hematuria, alteration of vaginal sensations, hypersexuality (over active sex drive), and overall varied results.
